We have a few spaces in school for Brass tuition.  Mr Munro is in school on Thursday morning.  Students go onto perform with Moray Concert Brass.  The Brass Band rehearses on a Thursday evening and gives many performances to very a high standard.

S1 students watched a demonstration of how to play Brass instruments which was given by Mr Munro, Hamish Weir and Lesley and Kerry Nicol.

On Thursday 24 September, our students enjoyed a fantastic performance of 'The Cheviot, The Stag and the Black, Black Oil' at Dundee Rep.  They enjoyed prime seats on the stage and were part of the show.  The experience has given the students lots to write about in their exam.  Thank you to Ms Turner for taking the students to the show and to Mrs Norrie and Mr Miller for driving them all there and back.

We were very fortunate to have a visit from Oxana and Dmitry, along with Vitaly Mironov who is president of the Moscow Caledonian Society, on Thursday, 26 November 2015.  We were treated to a stunning perfomance in the evening and our students were given the opportunity to perform for Oxana and Dmitry.  They included Lucy Lloyd (S1), Blayne Rut (S2), Renee Dumenil (S3), Leah Metcalfe (S4), Chloe Dalgarno (S5) and Megan Williams (S6).  Our thanks go to Walkers for their sponsorship and assistance.  Bruce Craig (S5) performed on the bagpipes for our guests.  The evening was presented by our Head Boy and Girl, Jack Mitchell and Zoey Gordon, who also played the fiddle during the evening performance.  Lesley Nicol played piano and performed her composition.
