This week has seen the return of S5/6 to the school following their exam leave.  All senior phase pupils are involved in an extensive induction programme.  Assemblies to underline our high expectations were the first input.  All S4/5 pupils have had a session with Live N Learn – talking about planning and a growth mindset.  Parents were invited to a session in the evening.  Skillforce worked with pupils to develop skills for the workplace including team work and communication.  Other workshops were provided by the Guidance Team, Skills Development Scotland and teaching staff.

On Wednesday 7 June our BGE pupils had their Activity Day.  Unfortunately due to the extreme adverse weather surfing at Banff had to be postponed.  Other activities included Landmark, Build A Computer, Art Activities, Sports and Party Planning for our 40th Birthday Party on Wednesday 28 June.

All Senior pupils have also been given the opportunity to take part in the Listenwell initiative.  Pupils will be trained in listening skills and will use these to support other pupils.

Speyside High School pupils and colleagues will take part in a vote to decide on our school motto.  All stakeholders have been fully involved in developing this and deciding on the school values.
