Welcome back to all in the SHS community, I hope everyone had a good holiday.  We are starting our term with assemblies to launch our Vision: Happy, Healthy, High Achieving; and our six values which are Healthy, Responsible, Dedicated, Ambitious, Respect and Achieving.

Next weeks’ assemblies will be about Literacy and Numeracy.

This week also sees Education Scotland visiting our Home Economics Department to discuss our transition Food For Thought project and to run a training event after school.

I am pleased to see we now have our House mascots in place: Fiddich are Stags, Livet are Lions and Rinnes are Rattlers.

At the start of November we are honoured to be receiving two storyboards representing the history of Aberlour Orphanage.  These will be erected in the main hallway and represent an important part of SHS’s history.

The school is delighted to host an evening performance by The State Russian Ballet Theatre on Tuesday 14 November at 7.00pm.  Tickets, priced at £15 for adults and £8 for school children, are available from the school office or Walkers shop in Aberlour.

We would like to thank A&F Grant Ltd for sponsoring our U15 football team’s new kits.  A&F Grant already sponsored our Senior team’s away kits and we are delighted to have extended this partnership.
