Named Person Service during the holiday

As part of the Getting It Right For Every Child approach each child or young person is allocated a Named Person. Although, most children will receive all the support they need from their own families and community, we have a legal obligation to make available an identified Named Person for every child and young person in our care.

EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES

European Day of Languages was celebrated last week across the school with a Euro Quiz in S1 and S2 classes, build an Eiffel Tower engineering project, European menu in the canteen and an S1 poster competition.  Well done to all of our winners – photos can be seen on the Modern Languages Twitter page - @Speyside_MFL.

Well done to all pupils who took part in the Goodall Cup Inter-House football tournament on Monday 2nd October. Great to see so many happy, health and high achieving young people enjoying physical activity outdoors!  Many thanks to the Senior Sports Leader class for organising the tournament itself.  Results are as follows:

 

1st: Fiddich – 72 points

2nd: Livet – 57 points

3rd: Rinnes – 48 points

GERMAN VISITORS

On Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th of this week, we had a group of 50 pupils and staff from the Frankenwald Gymnasium school in Kronach in Germany following pupils’ timetables to experience a typical Scottish school day.  The visitors experienced a range of subjects across the school and were provided with lunch in the canteen.

RUSSIAN STATE BALLET

The school is delighted to be hosting an evening performance by members of The Russian State Ballet.  The event will take place in the school on Tuesday 14 November and further details of how to purchase tickets will be available very soon.
