RED NOSE DAY

The S2 Social Enterprise Group organised Red Nose Day in school last Friday 24 March.  Pupils sold red noses and also spent lunchtimes making cakes to sell.  On Friday, pupils wore something red and £406.96 was raised.  Well done to all concerned.

NHS Grampian are looking to recruit  two Electrical/Mechanical Engineer Apprentices and a Business Administration Apprentice. Both programmes are based based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The first indoor open graded series meet came to an end in Aberdeen last weekend with some good results for Kyle Wilkinson, S2.   He came first in the U15 long jump and finished with a new personal best of 5m 47cm.  He gained two further PB’s, the first in the 60m sprint with 7.75 seconds, and the second when he won his 150m outdoor sprint heat with a time of 18.75 seconds.

Swimming News

Weekends continue to be busy with local and regional swimming galas for Janey Morton and Georgie Newlands.  Both girls continue to swim faster and faster as the PB swims keep rolling in.

 

At the Elgin Spring gala in February, Janey got PB swims in 7 out of her 8 events and won a bronze medal in 12/13 200m Breaststroke.  Georgie got PB swims in 8 of her 10 events and won:

3 x Gold     Open 50m

Career Ready Information Evening

Last Friday there was an assembly for S4 pupils to tell them about Career Ready. Career Ready is an amazing opportunity, putting students like you directly in touch with employers from all areas of work. Whatever you want to do with your life, Career Ready can give you the skills you need to get the career you want.

It is a structured programme of masterclasses, workplace visits and mentoring
