PAWS AGAINST STRESS

Things continue to be busy at Speyside High School.  This week started with a real treat.  Brodie, our reading dog, was joined by her friend Barney on Monday lunchtime.  Barney and Brodie, along with their owners, spent lunchtime in the Library.  They are part of stress relief activities for both staff and those pupils sitting exams.

Therapets will be in the library on Monday 15th May and 22nd May at 1 pm.

Pupils stressed by the exams or school can come and relax with dogs and puppies.

A sign-up sheet is up in the library.

S3 BADAGUISH RESIDENTIAL

The S3 Badaguish Residential trip took place last week.  The group were very lucky with the weather but it was very cold overnight.  Pupils and staff took part in lots of activities including orienteering and canoeing.  All pupils were praised by the staff on their excellent attitude and their enthusiasm for all the activities.

JUNIOR RANGERS

On Friday 28 April the SHS Junior Rangers were awarded their John Muir Discovery Award following a week of activities learning about the Speyside area’s iconic wildlife, biodiversity, outdoor access and visitor management.

Mental wellbeing apps and websites
