Supporting Numeracy at Home

The first in a series of new materials to support numeracy at home have now been published on the Parentzone website.

Learning doesn’t just take place in the classroom, it can happen anywhere. A child or young person’s everyday routine offers many opportunities and experiences to practise and apply their numeracy skills in real and meaningful ways.

This Education Scotland leaflet was developed in partnership with National Parent Forum of Scotland (NPFS) and addresses questions that parents and carers have been asking in relation to CfE and provides some examples of learner journeys which help illustrate the opportunities and benefits offered by the new curriculum, the key benefits for young people and examples of the different routes pupils

BAKING


In light of the successful Aberlour Fair Trade event before Christmas our S3 pupils from the baking class have been compiling new recipes & trialled their own creations on Tuesday 28 January when the chef from The Dowans Hotel in Aberlour came along to judge.
