Here are the school notes to be published in the Northern Scot on Friday 28 February.


It is with regret that we have to cancel our school show this year.  I would like to thank everyone for the hard work that they have put into the show and we will stage a production when our new Performing Arts extension is built in the near future.

S.Q.A. Results Service

From April 2014, SQA’s Results Services replace the Appeals Service for all National Courses where an exam or coursework contributes to the candidate’s final grade. Therefore for 2014 this includes Intermediate1/2, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.A leaflet is available from SQA.

There will be two Results Services:

Exceptional Circumstances Consideration Service – where a candidate has not

Careers Academy Launch

There was an assembly this morning to introduce Careers Academies to Speyside High. Speyside High is one of three Moray Schools where current S4 pupils will be given the opportunity to become Careers Academy students over their S5 and S6.

A Career Academy is a programme that prepares students for the world of work.

U.S.A. Trip Fundraising

On Wednesday 26 February there will be a ceilidh at Speyside High to raise funds for the USAtrip.  Doors open at 7.30 pm for an 8pm start.  Music, dancing and stovies.  Tickets £8.  Come along and have some fun!
