The very successful social enterprise group ‘ SpeyCraft’ has been short listed as a finalist in the Social Enterprise Awards –Scotlandin  Category 9 – Education & Training SE (Schools).The business is run as an extra-curricular activity and the small group of S4 pupils is supported by the PT of Religious and Moral Education, Mrs Catherine Irving.

Science Department

On Wednesday morning all S2 pupils thoroughly enjoyed the Biodiversity Talk and Activities presented by staff from the Education and Outreach Department of The Dolphin Centre, SpeyBay. The pupils enjoyed a variety of activities that enhanced the S2 Planet Earth unit of work.

Emma Bowie attended Schools International games in  Dublin where she won a silvermedal.  She was  selectedfor the Scottish U18 team at the Celtic Games in Waleswhere she won gold and has been selectedfor the UKschool games in September.  In addition she is still currently number 1 in the UK,  she won the Scottish Age Champs and was 3rd in the U20 Scottish champs.

Lauren Thomson performed with the National Youth Choir of Scotland on Friday evening at a concert at St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh as part of the Edinburgh Festival.

Fleur and Aimee Jackson enjoyed a week long orchestral course in Dunblane with the Scottish Schools Orchestra Trust over the Summer and Molly Melville enjoyed a week long course in Celtic music in Donegal, Ireland.
